We the students of SYMBIOSIS
MBA-HHM 14-16 were privileged to be addressed about National Accreditation
Boards of Hospitals by guest who is a CEO of the boards Dr K.K.Kalra. He had
enlightened us with the quality of service to patient taking into account the
Indian Healthcare scenario, He also envisaged us with various National and
International forum which are working on patient safety goals. 
Dr Kalra not
only briefed us with the quality standards required in NABH but he also
simultaneously discussed about International Accreditations like JCI. He also
brought into notice the forth coming challenges in hospital sector which was
benefited to us as we being the future budding managers. He had also identified
that 24% of medical errors is occurring due to poor communication. We were also
introduced to the structure and functions of the accreditation. He emphasized on the urgent need for quality
in healthcare by ending with a note stating “TIME FOR CHANGE IS NOW”.The Lecture was concluded with healthy question answer session, and all the queries
of my fellow mates were gracefully solved.
