Consortium 2015- Excerpts from the eminent industry expert's interaction

Dr. Rakesh Varma, Group Head- Leading &Development, Narayan Hrudralaya Group of Hospitals, had made a visit to Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences. He addressed the students of MBA-HHM (2015-2017).

It was an interactive session. Dr. Rakesh Varma spoke about the competencies that are required of us as future healthcare managers. He talked about how Narayan Hrudayalaya indulges to a great deal in social service and activities. He also spoke about E- medicine and the steps Narayan Hrudayalaya is taking to initiate e- medicine on a national level.

Questions were put across by the students , to mention a few:
·        What are the opportunities for a fresh MBA graduate who has no sort of work experience, to be a part of this organisation?
·        How will e-medicine benefit the growing population of India?".

Mr. Rakesh gave his views. He also encouraged the students to work towards their goal of being efficient and effective healthcare managers, build on soft skills, knowledge and develop in certain skills that could give them a quintessential edge over the others, be it in placements or on the job.

The session was quite effective. Many were reassured about what are expected of them and what competencies are required of them.
