The projects envisages to have a general hospital, Paramedic Training Institute, a School for Complementary & Alternative Medicine (CAM), a Health Technology Park, a Bio-Medical Cluster and much more to contribute to a complete new world of healthcare.The official blog of the Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences. Co- Authored by Academicians and Professionals, the blog intends to be a knowledge platform facilitating knowledge exchange , learning and experiences. The Life @ SIHS thread is run by students of the MBA- HHM .The students provide an inside look into their diverse experiences with academics & extra-curriculars and exploring all that Life @ SIHS is about.

‘Give mankind the greatest gift. Donate blood: Blood Donation Drive 2016
Every year on 14th June, countries all across the world celebrate the world blood donor day. The focus of the day is to thank the blood donors who save lives every day “through their blood donations and strongly encourages more people all over the world to donate blood voluntarily and regularly with the slogan ‘Give freely, give often. Blood donation matters’.
Blood Donation Drive arranged simultaneously at eight campuses of Symbiosis in Pune and four campuses at Noida, Nashik, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
The campaigning
and motivation drive to maximize the turnout for the blood donation camp was done by MBA (Hospital and Healthcare Management) students of Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences
under the guidance & supervision of healthcare professionals of SCHC.
Due to the
efforts
taken,
Symbiosis
Centre
of Health
Care in collaboration with blood banks of the city collected 1905 units which included 13 international student donors. Enthusiastic Symbiosis students and staff members voluntarily contributed to the noble cause of blood donation.

Government of NCT of Delhi recognizes contribution of SIHS for providing trainings to all emergency medical professionals with CATS DELHI-EMS
Delhi Emergency Medical Services is a project of Centralised Accident and Trauma Services (CATS), an autonomous body of Govt. of National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi operational in Public Private Partnership (PPP) with Bharat Vikas Group (BVG) India Ltd., Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS) and United Kingdom Specialist Ambulance Services (UKSAS). It is a toll free ‘102’ number based Service to provide free emergency Medical Services to entire population in NCT of Delhi.
There are state of the art 265 well equipped ambulances to provide competent care for the sick or injured in emergency medical settings. All ambulances are manned by Emergency Medical Professionals (EMP’s) trained in Emergency care. SIHS imparted training to all 610 professionals working for this project in Emergency Medical Technician – Basic programme of Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC).
These Emergency Medical Professional’s (EMP’s) are trained in detection of any emergency, immediate response, reporting, on-scene care, en route care and transfer to appropriate hospital. Training also includes reassurance to patients, relatives and bystanders prior to and during transportation to hospital casualty room. These EMP’s will respond to emergency calls, performing medical services and transporting patients to appropriate hospitals as required.

This project was officially launched on 03 rd July, 2016 by Sh. Manish Sisodia, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi in presence of Sh. Satyendra Jain, Hon’ble Health Minister of Delhi.
SIHS extended health care services to warkaries
As an yearly
activity, SIHS provided free medical services for Warkaris during
Pandharpur Wari, a religious procession, attended by lakhs of
devotees.
Students of
MBA(HHM) and EMS participated in Pandharpur Wari to provide First Aid, OPD
services and pre-hospital care and look after the overall logistics &
management of the event. Around 45433 Warkaris availed these services and were
provided health services along with medical supplies for the 45 km long
route across Pune.
